Omaere means "nature of the rainforest" in the Indigenous Waorani language.
Our main objective is the conservation of nature and the protection of environment as well as the preservation of ancestral knowledge.

Up to 10,000 people visit us each year, the majority being Ecuadorians, making Omaere one of the most important places where people can easily and economically learn about Amazonian plants and people.
